The following students have been named Athletes of the Week ending 4/12:

Sammi Acuna '26 - Golf - Sammi took 4th place overall with a score of 2 over par (38) in a field of 36 at the SCH Invitational last week. Despite wet and chilly conditions at Sunnybrook, she finished just 3 shots off of 1st place in the second invitational of the season. Way to go, Sammi!

Brandon Varga '27 - Baseball - Brandon sparked the offense from the cleanup spot in last Tuesday's 13-8 home JV win versus GA. "B" had a great day and went 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored and 3 RBIs. If this is a sign of things to come, the opposition will pay dearly in the coming weeks! Keep it up, Brandon!

MSG Relay Team - Track and Field - Keira Evans, Ava Houston, Taylor Price, and Lyla Raby took 6th place at the Penn Relays qualifier held at PC last week. The girls’ team is one of 9 area middle schools that qualified for the 4x100 at Penn Relays, and we are so proud of them! Good luck, girls!

MSB Relay Team - Track and Field - Mason McFadden, Landon Freund, Carter Graha,m and Roman Lawson took 2nd place at the Penn Relays qualifier held at PC last week. The boys’ team is one of 9 area middle schools that qualified for the 4x100 at Penn Relays, and we are so excited to see what they can accomplish! Good luck!

Ian Zaine Trego '29 - Baseball - Ian Zaine pitched a complete game for the MS varsity squad, striking out 10 batters, walking just one, and allowing 2 hits, while only facing 22 batters in 6 innings. He also had 2 hits at the plate, leading the Devils to an 11-0 victory over EA!

Emma Carey '29 - Lacrosse - Emma had a fantastic first week of competition for MSG varsity lacrosse. She is one of the co-captains of the team and provides positive leadership both in practice and in games. In the team’s 10-4 victory against GA, Emma scored 4 goals, won 8 draws, and added an assist. In our 12-2 win against Baldwin, Emma scored 1 goal, won 10 draws, and added 2 assists in a total team effort: 12 goals were scored by 12 different players! Great start to the season, Emma!

Graham Ward '30 - Baseball - Always willing to do what is best for the team, even when it means catching when he'd rather be playing anywhere else, Graham led the JV team with not 1 but 2 home runs in our first game of the week! This, encompassed with his positive attitude and incessant smile, makes him our athlete of the week. Great job, Graham!

Audrey Lane '31 - Lacrosse - Audrey has enthusiastically taken on the challenge of being the starting goalie for the MSG JV lacrosse team this season. In her first game against GA, Audrey not only recorded 3 crucial saves but also anchored the defense, playing a key role in leading the team to a 5-2 victory. Awesome work, Audrey!
