The following students have been named Athletes of the Week ending 12/9:
Sean Brett '25 - Wrestling - Sean was undefeated last week vs George and Lawrenceville on Wednesday and went the distance on Saturday at the SCH invitational, winning his weight class and being named the Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament! Sean is an amazing role model for our young wrestlers and has really stepped up as captain this season. He gives his all during practice and matches and we are so proud of his success!
Zahkiyyah Frazier '24 - Basketball - Reprising her role as starter and Co-Captian, Zahkiyyah looks to make a lasting impression on the SCH Girls’ Basketball program in her senior year. Currently averaging 13.5 points and 16.5 rebounds per game, Zahkiyyah continues to garner the attention of college coaches at all three levels. It's your year, Z!
Owen Kelly '26 - Basketball - Owen consistently takes on the most difficult defensive assignment nightly, and battles during every varsity match-up. He is averaging 10 points and 6 rebounds per game for the undersized Blue Devils and his effective field goal percentage is at 56.5%, while also shooting 46% from the 3-point line, showing his efficiency! Keep it up, Owen!
Ella Thomson ''27 - Basketball - The athletic Thomson family tree continues to bear fruit with freshman Ella! A standout all-around athlete, capable of guarding all 5 positions, she has made a significant impact in both JV and varsity outings this season. Built Thomson tough!
Jules Sanders '26 - Basketball - After playing a key role in the success of last year’s freshman team, Jules has slid right into the role of starting point guard for the 7-0 JV squad this season. He is coming off a big week, highlighted by a 19-point, 5 rebound, and 5-assist game against Cristo Rey. Great work, Jules!
Bella Tinneny '28 - Basketball - Bella was a dominant force on the court scoring 18 of 40 points in the MSG varsity team’s first game vs Baldwin last week. She led the team in rebounds, steals and assists, and we look forward to her leadership and continued success this season!
Kaitlyn Wright '30 - Squash - Kaitlyn won her first match for the MSG varsity squad last week vs Welsh Valley at the number 1 spot. She is a hard worker with a great attitude and we can’t wait to see her play the rest of the season!
