Four athletes are recognized as Athletes of the Week for the week ending 9/18:
Kaitlyn Melinson '23 - Varsity Field Hockey - Kaitlyn scored a goal and had an assist leading the team to a victory over Shipley! She is a strong leader and workhorse on the field and can play just about any position.
Ameara Smith '24 - Varsity Tennis - Ameara plays the 3rd singles spot and clinched the winning match in the home opener in a 7-0 shutout against Springfield HS, 6-0,6-0. She also won her match vs AFS and helped the team to a 6-1 win!
Lisa McIntyre '23 - Varsity Soccer - Lisa scored 2 goals in the last 10 minutes of Friday’s game vs Ryan to help secure the 3-0 win. Not only did she put away 2 goals in a critical time of the game but she also attacked and created offensive chances for the entire game, causing a lot of trouble for Ryan's defenders!
Alex Topping '25 - JV Golf - Alex shot a team low of 43 to lead the JV squad in a close match vs Episcopal at Merion West last week. Alex continues to play well and improve each week and will definitely be a player to watch in the league!
