Four students are recognized as athletes of the week for the week ending May 22, 2021:
Sabria Epps '21 - track & field - at the Inter-Ac Championships, won a gold in the 400 with a time of 57.98 and silver in the 100 (12.06) and 200 (26.41) helping the Blue Devils to a 3rd place team finish.
Ava Roberts '21 - track & field - at the Inter-Ac Championships, won a gold in the Javelin with a 93-07, and a silver in the shot (39-04) and discus (92-06) helping the Blue Devils to a 3rd place team finish.
Henry Brandstadter '22 - track & field - at the Inter-Ac Championships, won a gold in the high jump with a jump of 6-02, took bronze in the 100 (11.28) and in the 200 (22.82) and 5th in the long jump (21-5 3/4).
Darby Casey '22 - softball - in 3 games of the Inter-Ac Tournament, she had 5 hits in 8 at bats (.625 avg) along with 2 walks. One of her 2 RBIs was the game winning bunt in the 7th to score the winning run over Penn Charter in the semi-final. She showed tremendous grit and determination by playing despite a broken finger.
