Ed McDevitt graduated from CHA in 1993 where he excelled equally in the arts, athletics, and academics. At Hamilton College, Ed played and started on the football team for four years and majored in economics. Currently, he is senior vice president of Wealth Management at UBS.

In 2021, Ed was named as a co-chair of the Campaign for the Commons. He was charged with soliciting and hosting events to complete the $6 million dollar project. Enough money has been raised to start the first-floor renovations, which begin next week.

In June 2022, Ed was appointed as a member of the SCH Board of Trustees and currently serves on the Executive and Assets Committees. He says, “As an alumnus and as a parent of two SCH students, I am passionate about SCH as a regional leader in excellence—a cutting-edge academic, athletic, and civic-minded institution. As a board member, I want to apply my skill sets in finance and business development to collaborate with and support the administration to create conditions and resources to ensure that SCH can continue to thrive and offer quality experiences to students of all backgrounds and interests.”

“I have had the pleasure of knowing Ed for most of my life," says classmate and friend Read Goodwin, "and one of the greatest attributes of that friendship is that you are instantly welcomed into his incredibly generous extended family. It is one of the best compliments you can give anyone: Ed treats everyone he knows and anything he does as if it were in his own family. This has clearly been the case in his support and giving back to the SCH community over the past several years.”

Jess Hayne, co-chair of the Campaign of the Commons says, “Ed’s enthusiasm for the Commons project has been contagious. As with everything he does, he’s taken this campaign on with passion and determination. He is truly devoted to SCH, our community, and athletics.”

Congratulations, Ed!
