Sean Plunkett ’04

Sean Plunkett is the only four-time Inter-Ac shot put champion in league history and helped the Blue Devils win the 2001 Inter-Ac track championship.

He was an outstanding all-around athlete at CHA, earning 11 varsity letters over his high school career in football and indoor and outdoor track and field. Sean was named to the All-League 1st team for football during his junior and senior seasons and received the Edward B. Lawless Football Award for his prowess in 2003, as well as the Frederick Strawbridge Claghorn Jr. Trophy during the 2002 season. He was also given the William C. Harper III Track Award for his accomplishments in 2003 and 2004 and the Thatcher Longstreth Track Improvement Award in 2001. During his senior campaign, Sean was given the Tri-Captain award for being named team captain in football and indoor and outdoor track and field, and he was also named team co-MVP. In addition, he was recognized as a top athlete of the senior class in 2004 and was co-awarded the prestigious J. L. Patterson Cup. 

After CHA, Sean attended Millersville University where he received four varsity letters in football and started on the offensive line for three years. He was voted a team captain during his senior year, and earned All-PSAC honors as offensive guard.
