Rashad Campbell ’08

Rashad Campbell was a four-year varsity letter winner and member of the football and indoor and outdoor track and field teams at CHA, and was named captain of all three teams his senior year. He was recognized as a 1st Team All Inter-Ac and 1st Team All-City selection in 2006 and 2007 for his excellent performances in football. Additionally, he was honored as the 2007 football Inter-Ac MVP and Philadelphia Daily News Player of the Year and was awarded the 2008 CHA Father’s Award for his outstanding dedication to his team and the Academy. He was also awarded the Mini-Maxwell award as one of the top 50 high school players in Southern PA & NJ in both his junior and senior years. Rashad finished his CHA football career with 4,204 yards rushing and 65 total touchdowns.    

Rashad went on to play football at Cornell University where he was a four-year starter. During his senior year, he was selected to the All-Ivy first team and also set an Ivy League record for most kick return yards in a season with 994. He was also third in Ivy League history for kick return yards. In addition to his athletic talents, Rashad was the CHA 2008 Gold Medal award winner, given to a senior who embodies and best exemplifies characteristics of leadership, academic standing, character, and service to Chestnut Hill Academy.
