Mike received nine varsity letters in football, basketball, and track. Mike was co-captain of both the Independence League champion football and Inter-Ac basketball team his senior year and was a member of the Inter-Ac champion track team. Mike was recognized as the Most Outstanding Player on the basketball team and scored 1,346 points in his career. He also received the J. L. Patterson Cup and was recognized as the Most Outstanding Athlete in the senior class. Mike earned a basketball scholarship to play for LaSalle University where he was Captain his junior and senior years scoring 1,362 points. Mike’s professional career began in 1998 when he was the first overall draft selection for Atlantic City Seagulls which won the USBL Championship that year. He continued on to play for various teams for twelve seasons in European Professional Basketball, ten of which were in Italy. For five of the seasons, Mike was elected Captain by his teammates as well as held five individual scoring titles. In ’04-05 he was voted MVP of his League.
