Mark A. Burke '86

Mark was an outstanding athlete at CHA, winning 12 letters and the prestigious Patterson Cup. In basketball, he was a two-time captain, winner of the Markward Award, and twice winner of the Landreth Award as the Most Valuable Basketball Player. He was also the captain of the football team, winner of the Maxwell Award, named to the All-Independence League team, as well as a winner of CHA’s Kleinfelder Award and the Edward B. Lawless Award. At Moravian College, he was the captain of the basketball team, winning four letters and setting school records for number of assists and the highest shooting percentage for single-season and career three-point shots. Mark continued his interest in basketball as a successful intercollegiate coach.
