Josh Jennings '90

Josh was a three-sport athlete who excelled in both football and basketball while attending CHA. He lettered in football, basketball, and baseball and earned All-League honors in both football and basketball. As a sophomore, he lettered in basketball and as a junior and senior he lettered in football, basketball, and baseball. As a senior he was a First Team All Independence Football League (IFL) Safety, Second Team All IFL Running Back, was recipient of the Klinefelter Award as the team’s Most Outstanding running back, First Team All-Inter-Ac Basketball, received the Landreth Award as the Most Valuable Player of the varsity basketball team, and was chosen as the recipient of the Lawrence R. Mallery Award as the Senior Scholar-Athlete. He went on to play basketball at Yale University where he was the captain his senior year. Dick Kuchen, his head coach at Yale, commented that Josh had “terrific leadership skills” and “his enthusiasm and teamwork both led by example. He was a tremendous role model for the younger kids as well.”
