George Bailey '79

George was a multi-sport athlete at CHA. He won 11 letters in football,   basketball, and track. In his senior year he co-captained all three sports. He received the William C. Harper Award three times for outstanding contributions to the track team and the A. L. Dowbenko Award as the Most Improved Basketball Player. He spearheaded the undefeated 1977 football team and in his senior year won the award for the Most Outstanding Football Player as well the J. L. Patterson Cup for best athlete in his class. George was twice named to theDaily News All-City Football Team. He won the Maxwell Award and played in the Philadelphia All-Star Football game.
