Andre L. Dixon '94

Andre was an outstanding all-around athlete at CHA. He received nine varsity letters in football, basketball, crew, and track. As a freshman, Andre placed second in the National Championship Regatta with the Varsity Quad. In his senior year, Andre captained the 1993 Independence League champion football team and the 1994 Inter-Ac Champion track team. He was the recipient of the J. L. Patterson Cup for Most Outstanding Athlete in the senior class and also won the award for Most Outstanding Player on the football and track teams. At Inter-Ac Championships Andre placed first in the 200 meters, first in the long jump, and broke the CHA triple jump record with a jump of 44’-11.” After CHA, Andre played football at Northeastern University where he was first-team All-Atlantic 10 Conference and First Team All-New England in 1998. In 1999 Andre continued on in football to play in the NFL for the Detroit Lions before retiring.
