Emery Schaffer '14

Emery Schaffer is a playwright and actor. She attended New York University's Tisch School of The Arts where she received her BFA in drama in 2018. Emery's plays have been presented/produced by The Tank NYC, Shakespeare on The Sound, the Long Island City One Act Festival (in which her short play “80 Percent” was a semi-finalist), the Upright Citizens Brigade, and Brunch Theatre Company. She has performed with Shakespeare on The Sound, and at The PIT, UCB, and NYU Tisch.

Emery's original plays are scheduled to premiere in March 2020: A, My Name Is Allison (full length) at The Tank NYC, and “Becky Knows What Sex Is (10 minutes),” produced by Brunch Theatre Co. She is also working on a screenplay, a pilot episode for an anthology series about the history of immigration through New York’s Lower East Side.
