The following students have been recognized as Athletes of the Week ending 4/16:
Alex Reilly ‘24 - Lacrosse - Alex had a great showing last week starting with 6 goals, 3 assists, 4 draw controls, 2 caused turnovers, and 2 ground balls in the 17-8 win over GFS on Monday. On Wednesday, she had 5 goals, 1 assist, 5 draw controls, 2 caused turnovers, and 2 ground balls in the thrilling 13-12 OT victory over Episcopal, where she scored the game-winner to secure the victory! Alex was also named a notable player of the week in USA Lacrosse magazine for the Mid-Atlantic Region for her performances!
Hayes Schreiner ‘24 - Lacrosse - Hayes had a stellar 24 saves in an exciting 9-8 victory over Penn Charter last Tuesday. He also recorded 13 saves in a tough 11-12 loss at GA on Thursday. Hayes has really stepped up to be a general in the backfield and has done a great job so far this season.
Jack Gaghan ‘23 - Tennis - Jack goes above and beyond as captain of the JV Tennis team. He stays after and cleans up, he pitches in before being asked and is very supportive of his teammates. Thank you for all of your efforts, Jack!
Ty Caplan ‘24 - Baseball - Tyler pitched 8 innings last week getting the win vs GA and only letting up 3 runs, all unearned. He had a total of 13 strikeouts in 8 innings, way to go, Ty! Keep up the hard work!
Molly McCann ‘26 - Lacrosse - Molly had an outstanding week with the MS Varsity team, contributing 5 goals, 3 assists, and 15 draw controls, all in 2 games! Molly is the first to practice every day and a real leader for this team. Way to go, Molly!
Joah Perlman ‘28 - Lacrosse - Joah had a breakthrough game against Malvern Prep manning the defense for the MS JV squad. He demonstrated new levels of speed, tenacity, ground ball recovery, passing, and clearing the zone. Joah's strong effort in the backfield helped keep the Blue Devils in the game.
