Tennis defeats Shipley 3-2

On the strength of 2 doubles and a singles win, the Blue Devils defeated Shipley in their opening match.

Coach Gargullo registered his first win as an SCH coach with the 3-2 win over Shipley. Coach is very used to winning on the Chestnut Hill Courts as he was a 4-time Inter-Ac champion at CHA, from 1994-1998.

Ben Hayes at #3 singles won his match as did the #1 doubles of David Xin/Brady Greenberg and #2 doubles of Sam Miller/Aden Goldberg to put the match away. #1 singles David Lubell lost in a back and forth heartbreaker 2-1.

#2 Issac Schapiro lost 3-6, 1-6
#3 Ben Hayes won 6-3, 6-3
#1 David Xin/Brady Greenberg won 6-0, 6-0
#2 Sam Miller/Aden Goldberg won 6-4, 6-2

The JV team also won 3-2.
