SCH Blue Devil Pride

As the fall season winds down, let’s give a SCHout out to the varsity girls soccer team for clinching the Inter-Ac championship with an outstanding 16-0-1 overall record! This title adds to the team’s successes in previous years: in 2019, the Blue Devils went a perfect 12-0 in the league to win the Inter-Ac for the first time, and in 2017 they went 17-3-1, won their first-ever PAISAA Championship, and were 2nd in the Inter-Ac. The same year, coach Kosmin was named SEPA Coach of the Year. Additionally, three seniors on the team signed a National Letter of Intent on Wednesday and will pursue their passion at the college level (see signing day story). We will be cheering the team on as they move to the semifinals of the PAISAA tournament today and watching as their state rank on Prep Soccer continues to rise: as of this week, SCH is ranked #11 in the country and #2 in the region!

In field hockey play, the Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association (PAISAA) introduced the Commonwealth Cup tournament this year and SCH girls took home first place in overtime, beating Penn Charter 3-2. Kaitlyn Melinson and Devyn Conlan (2) scored goals in the big victory. Kudos to goalkeeper Colleen Conlan for racking up her 200th save during the final game… and she’s only a freshman! During the semifinal last week against Friends’ Select, the Devils racked up 7 goals by Hannah Peirce (3), Devyn Conlan (3), and Bella Tulio in the shutout.

Be sure to keep your eye on the new Blue Devil YouTube channel to catch the boys and girls in PAISAA soccer action. Games will be livestreamed if you can’t make it to school to cheer them on in person!

Let’s go, Devils!
