Girls Soccer Players Hosted Free Skills Clinic in Center City

In late February, SCH Varsity Soccer players, Mayaat the McDermott and Julia Thomson hosted a free soccer skills clinic for a group of young girls at the 26th District Police Athletic League Center that serves the Kensington, Richmond and Fishtown neighborhoods. The SCH soccer players showed the girls some skills and played some fun games while at the same time telling the girls stories from their younger days learning the game. They also shared stories from their incredible undefeated season. All those in attendance received a shirt and pizza dinner sponsored by the Police Athletic League. The clinic served as a way for the SCH players to give back to the community in Philadelphia and give some inspiration to the next generation of female athletes.
