Four SCH rowers traveled to Boston to compete in the 57th annual Head of the Charles Regatta (HOCR), the world’s largest 3-day rowing race with over 11,000 athletes participating from all over the globe. The course is a winding 3.2 miles with six bridges to traverse and is well-known in the rowing world as one of the most challenging rivers to navigate in North America.
The Blue Devils girls team sent Ava Chavez '23 and Caitlin Keough '25 to race in a youth double for the first time in program history, and the boys team sent Eli Eckert ‘23 and Matthew Leon-Palfrey '23, also in a youth double, in the program’s third-ever appearance at the HOCR.
We are so proud of these four athletes and commend them for their performances. What an amazing experience for our Blue Devils!
