Athletes of the Week for the week ending 2/12:

Joe Cassidy ‘22 - Wrestling - Joe returned to the lineup after recovering from an injury to have two big pins in the tri-meet last week at Church Farm School. Joe is a quiet leader who has shown tremendous improvement over the years. We will miss his dedication and work ethic next year! Thank you, Joe!

Jake Olin ‘24 - Basketball - Jake is averaging 6 points 7 rebounds for JV Basketball, who stands in first place in the InterAc. He leads his team in more ways than what is recorded on the stat sheet, hustling for every play, taking charges, and challenging the 50-50 plays. Great effort this season, Jake!

The Girls’ 4x400m Relay Team  - Indoor Track - Veronica Gula ‘24, Jasmine Matthews ‘23, Julania Marechal-Raymond ‘23, and Simone Kelly ‘23 recently qualified for the PA Indoor State Championship on February 27th at Penn State University. They improved from their earlier time of 4:22, dropping 8 seconds to a 4:14 last weekend at the PTFCA Invitational! This Friday they will be competing again in the DVGTCA Meet of Champions in the 4x400m relay and individual events. Good luck, girls!

Zahkiyyah Frazier ‘24 - Basketball - Zahkiyyah has really made an impact on the varsity team this year, averaging 4 points and 6 rebounds per game. She works very hard in practice to improve her play, and it is definitely showing on the court. We look forward to her continued improvement over the next two years! Great, work Zahkiyyah!

Jack Cupchak '26 - MS Wrestling - Jack placed 2nd at the Inter-Ac Middle School Championships hosted by Malvern last week. He defeated the Haverford and Penn Charter wrestlers by fall before losing to a strong Malvern wrestler. Jack is a hard worker and fierce competitor and has been a pleasure to coach this year. Awesome job, Jack!

Finley Paul ‘28 - MS Basketball - Finley was our defensive specialist on the MSG JV squad this season! She also had some great assists and showed excellent aggressive play while grabbing big rebounds in our last 2 games. She is a superb example of sportsmanship, and we look forward to next season with Finley on the team!
