Athletes of the Week Ending February 21

The following students have been named Athletes of the Week ending February 21:

Anav Edwards '27 - Squash - Anav has been a fantastic competitor all year, and whether he is winning or losing, he has always brought a fun and engaging attitude. That didn't change last week at nationals; he had so many big matches for the team, all going to 5 sets, and he consistently maintained his amazing mindset. Anav’s level of sportsmanship is tremendous, and he is an excellent role model for our younger players. Great work, Anav. We are excited for your senior season with the Devils!"

Kenzie Aitkin '27 - Squash - Kenzie has been super consistent in her first season here at SCH, and that continued into last weekend at nationals. She was the only player to pick up a win in our last round match against a very strong Deerfield team. Kenzie always gives 100% and has a competitiveness you can't teach, and it’s so great to see! We are looking forward to her senior year and the success she will have! Keep it up, Kenzie!

Bella Tinneny '28 - Indoor Track - Bella had a great sophomore season, qualifying for Meet of Champs in the 1 Mile event, and she was even honored on PA Milesplit for having the greatest improvement (of 1 minute 17.51 seconds) in the state of PA when comparing the 2025 season to the 2026 season! Bella's qualifying time was 5:42.02, which she again improved at the championship meet, posting a time of 5:38.04. At the PAISAA meet, she also posted a personal indoor track record in the 800m event with a time of 2:33.51. Congratulations on a great season, Bella!

Alex Ormond '26 - Basketball - Alex put together a breakout senior season in his second year at SCH, elevating his game when it mattered most. After a series of strong performances in non-league play, Alex took things to another level during Inter-Ac competition, consistently delivering on both ends of the floor. He averaged 15.8 points and 6.1 rebounds per game, providing steady scoring, toughness on the glass, and leadership throughout the season. His outstanding play was recognized this past week when the league’s coaches selected him as an All-League team member, a well-earned honor that reflects his growth, consistency, and impact. Congratulations, Alex, we are proud of all you’ve accomplished and can’t wait to see what’s next for you.
