Athletes of the Week ending 5/7

Victor Kasian '22 - Tennis - Victor pulled off a 3-0 record last week beating Haverford, LaSalle, and Malvern at the varsity 3rd singles position. Victor has recently emerged as a leader for the Devils, as his wins provided the team with the foundation to have the team's best week of play. Congrats, Victor!

Lucy Pearson ‘22 - Lacrosse - Lucy had 10 saves in the 13-6 victory over GA last week and tallied 8 saves vs EA on Tuesday to push her career total to over 300 in just 2 seasons of play! Lucy is the amazing general of the defense and is the ultimate team player and role model for the younger players. We will miss your talents next year but wish you the best playing for Stanford!

Rory Finn ‘24 - Baseball - Rory had a great game in the 7-0 victory over GA last week with the varsity squad. He was 2 for 3, had 3 RBIs, and scored a run to lead the team to the W. Rory is an excellent teammate and shows great leadership. Great work Rory!

Courtney Oliver ‘23 - Softball - A 4-year Varsity starter, Courtney Oliver had another solid performance on the softball diamond last week. In games vs GA and AIS, she had a pair of hits, scored 3 times, and walked 3 times. Courtney is an asset to the team in the lead-off spot, getting 22 hits and scoring 22 runs in just 13 games. She ended the week with an impressive batting average of .524! Keep up the awesome work, Courtney!

Chase Zimmer ‘26 - Baseball - Chase’s well-rounded game was on display in the MS JV squad’s 11-1 win at Malvern last Thursday. Chase pitched 2 scoreless innings, hit a triple, scored a run, drove in a run, and made the catch of the year in center field! Chase was parallel to the ground when he laid out in the left-center gap to prevent 2 runs from scoring in the second inning. Chase has been a rock on the mound and in the field all season long. Way to go, Chase!

Jimmy Talbot ‘26 - Tennis - At the first singles position on the MS varsity squad, Jimmy had a great week, winning all 3 of his matches vs TPS, GFS, and Malvern to help the team to win 2 out of 3. He leads by example, showing maturity and poise during his matches and we can’t wait to see his success in upper school. Great job, Jimmy!
