The Girls’ JV Quad - Crew - Juniors Charlotte Trayes, Liz O’Brien, Iris Dobeck, and Ariya Goswami took home the silver medal over the weekend at the PSRA City Championship! The girls head into “medal season” after tallying four firsts and one second-place finish in the Manny Flicks with Mid-Atlantic Youth Champs, Stotesbury Regatta, and Scholastic Nationals lined up in the coming weeks. Good luck, girls!
The Boys' 4x400m Relay - Track - Congrats to the boys' Penn Relay team for breaking the school record! Brendan Russell, Joseph Trotter, Xavier Jones, and Stefon Dodoo placed 15th in the Greater Philadelphia Area, 2nd in the City of Philadelphia, and 2nd in the Inter-Ac league, and their time of 3:21.36 beat the previous record they set last year! So proud of all of you!
Maille Colin '25 - Lacrosse - Maille, a senior captain and Stevens Institute of Technology commit, tallied a total of 6 goals and 3 assists last week. In the GA game, she had 2 goals and an assist, and vs AIS, she scored 4 goals, had 2 assists, and chipped in 1 ground ball in two of the best games the Devils have played all season. Keep up the hard work, Maille!
Jayson Blum '27 - Tennis - Jay won 3 of his 4 matches last week, beating Plymouth Whitemarsh, Cheltenham, and Penn Charter. Jay brings the fire and intensity to every match and is consistently a tough competitor vs every team we play in that 3rd singles spot. Congrats Jayson!
Camila Espinoza '26 - Lacrosse - Camila has been a great leader for the JV team this season! She is open to playing just about any position on the field, has improved her skills through hard work, and is an awesome teammate. Great work, Camila, we appreciate you!
Dorie Hayne '31 - Lacrosse - Dorie has been an unstoppable force on the JV team! She brings a level of tenacity to both defense and attack that is truly remarkable. Dorie has a “pass-first” mentality as an attack player, always scanning the field and looking for that perfect opportunity to set up a teammate for a goal. She is also an offensive powerhouse, fearlessly seizing her own scoring chances and driving the attack towards the net with unwavering determination. Dorie, your dedication is truly inspiring!
Alexis DeBose '30 - Track - Alexis made an impact across multiple events this week! At the GA meet, she ran a personal best in the 200m dash, and after throwing shot put for the first time this season, she took first place in that event. She had another great meet at the Inter-Ac Championship, winning the shot put and placing third in the long jump, showing her strength and versatility. Congrats, Alexis!
Landon Freund '30 - Track - Landon has been a force all season, going undefeated in the long jump and consistently landing jumps over 17 feet. He finished the season with a first-place finish in the long jump at the Inter-Ac Championship Meet! Not stopping there, Landon also showcased his speed and technique with a 2nd place finish in the 100m hurdles and was 2nd with his team in the 4x100m relay. Amazing job, Landon!
Lylah Morris '29 - Softball - During the past two games, Lylah has hit 3 home runs, made a double play from left field, and has provided incredible encouragement, energy, and support to our varsity team. Keep working hard, Lylah! We wish you the best in upper school!
Liam Englander '30 - Baseball - Liam was a "jack-of-all-trades" for our team down the stretch, playing in center field, shortstop, and pitching multiple games. He had some big hits, and his pitching at the end of the Penn Charter game was clutch. Way to go, Liam!
