Athletes of the Week ending 5/21

The following students have been recognized as Athletes of the Week ending 5/21:

The Varsity Boys’ Quad: AJ Topping ‘22, Jack Stephenson ‘22, Jude Halfpenny ‘22, Charlie Miles ‘22 - Crew - The varsity quad competed in the Stotesbury Regatta on Friday and Saturday last week, the largest high school regatta in the country. They came away with a bronze medal in a very close final! On Sunday, they also took bronze at the City Championships, which was originally canceled a few weeks ago due to weather. The boys will compete this weekend at SRAA Nationals and we wish them the best of luck! Congrats to all!

The Freshman Girls’ Quad: Caitlin Keough ‘25, Emma Schwartz ‘25, Emma Ludwikowski ‘25, Nadia Stockman ‘25 - Crew - The freshman quad competed in the Stotesbury Regatta and City Championships last weekend, earning a bronze medal on Saturday at Stotes and a silver medal at City Champs! The girls will compete at SRAA Nationals this weekend and we are so proud of their accomplishments this season! Good luck!

Tony Hicks ‘25 - Track and Field - Tony was third in the 110m hurdles with a personal best of 15.59 and was seventh in the 300m hurdles with a 44.11 at the PAISAA Track and Field Championships held last Saturday. He earned All-League status for his performance at the Inter-Ac Champs and also qualified for Nationals in the freshman division. Congratulations Tony!

McKayla McKeever ‘25 - Softball - McKayla has been a welcome addition to the SCH softball program. She walked all 3 times up to bat vs Baldwin last week and has a .316 batting average and .516 on-base percentage. She has a great eye when up to bat, getting walked 12 times this season and striking out just 4 times in 17 games!  She also tracks the ball well in the outfield, and made a difficult catch vs Penn Charter in the first round of PAISAA to preserve the shut out! Well done McKayla, we can't wait to see what the future holds for you!
