Athletes of the Week Ending 5/13

The following students have been named Athletes of the Week ending 5/13:

Shay Romero '23 - Lacrosse - Shay had a HUGE week between the pipes against Archbishop Carroll and Summit (NJ), two top 10 nationally ranked programs. She tallied 26 combined saves, setting her up to reach her 200th career save, a major milestone with nearly all of them in just one season!  WOW! Way to go, Shay!

Hunter Rexford '23 - Lacrosse - Hunter had 6 ground balls and 3 caused turnovers in last week’s games vs EA and Malvern. He has been a consistent defender and solid role model all season, and we wish him the best playing for Haverford College next year.

Ava Lanzetta '25 - Grace Hannigan ‘23, Gabby Kilshaw ‘26 - Track and Field - This trio of athletes placed 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, respectively, in the triple jump event at the Inter-Ac Championships last Saturday. Wishing you the best of luck at the PAISAA Championships this weekend!

Willie Lamb '25 - Track and Field - Willie finished third in the 300m hurdles among tough competition at the Inter-Ac Championships, held last Saturday. Willie consistently puts in the work to improve during practice, and we are proud of his success this year!

Cornelius Stevenson '27 - Baseball - Cornelius went 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and 3 RBIs in a dramatic 7-6 victory at Penn Charter last Tuesday. "Corny" hit .385 and played a pivotal role in the team's 8-2-1 season. The future is bright for this multi-talented outfielder!

Molly Groark '28 - Softball - Molly has been one of our best utility players this year playing different positions as needed and excelling at each one. In the GFS game last week she got a hit in the first inning to drive in our first 2 runs and helped us in a close victory over GFS. In our last game of the season against Norwood, she really lit it up with a home run, single, and a walk scoring each time and helping us to a decisive victory. Way to keep going, Molly!
