The following students have been named Athletes of the Week ending 5/11:
Stone Xin '24 - Tennis - Stone is the ultimate team player, battling in any position he is in, with whichever partner he has. Stone consistently puts his best foot forward and can be counted on to play with intensity and focus. Against Episcopal, although they were not victorious, he and his partner David took a set off an undefeated EA 1st doubles pairing. It was an incredibly impressive showing against one of the best doubles teams in the league. We are going to miss Stone's energy and effort next season! Congratulations Stone!
Sami Snyder '27 - Softball - Sami has been a strong presence on the mound all season. In 12 games, she has struck out 114 and only walked 17 batters. In addition, she has only allowed 20 runs, and just 11 were earned. Sami has also been impressive offensively in the cleanup spot, batting .324 and she has a slugging % of .568 with 3 doubles and 2 home runs! Lastly, she has also accumulated 16 RBIs! Way to go Sami!
Nolan Shelinsky '24 - Baseball - Nolan pitched a complete game shutout in the 3-0 win on Senior Day vs Judge, allowing only 4 hits, no walks and struck out 8! Nolan is known for staying late after practice, hitting ground balls to give his teammates extra reps, and doing whatever the team asks of him. His selfless attitude and leadership as a captain will be missed next year, and we wish him continued success in college!
Charlotte Brown '28 - Lacrosse - Charlotte added a record 5 assists while also adding one goal and contributing 3 caused turnovers for additional possessions in the MSG varsity victory over GA. Charlotte, always calm and composed on attack, demonstrated amazing pinpoint passing for those 5 assists in one game! Great week Charlotte!
Simone Weiss '29 - Lacrosse - It was a very strong attacking week for Simone! She totaled 4 goals in 2 games, including a goal in the Varsity game vs GA and 2 goals in the JV game while only playing half the game in attack. Simone also scored a critical goal in the game vs PC to secure the victory for SCH! Great week Simone!
