Athletes of the Week ending 4/30

The following students have been recognized as Athletes of the Week ending 4/30:

Ross Prince ‘24 - Lacrosse - Ross is the Varsity squad’s face-off specialist and has had an excellent season so far. Last week, he was 15-15 facing off vs Upper Dublin and had 1 assist in the 10-4 win on Saturday. Great work, Ross!

Evelyn Lauerman ‘23 - Golf - Evelyn is a junior captain and season team leader in low scores.  She had the low score in every match but 1 this season and qualified for the Inter-Ac League championship next week at French Creek. Good luck Evelyn!

Kama Bode ‘24 - Softball - Kama helped lead SCH softball to 2 victories last week.  In the 18-0 win over Agnes Irwin, she hit a grand slam, and a triple, racked up 6 RBIs, scored twice and reached base safely in 4 at-bats. Kama also scored the game-winning run in the 4th inning in the 4-0 Penn Charter win and had a double and reached base safely twice. Keep it up, Kama!

Joey O’Brien ‘26 - Track - Joey is eager to learn and try new events. At the meet vs GA and TPS, he ran the 400m for the first time this season and placed 1st. He also placed first in the hurdles with a time of 15.3, a new personal record. Keep up the great work, Joey O!

Gabby Kilshaw ‘26 - Track - Gabby is a natural leader and a captain of the team. She encourages her teammates and she always leaves 110% on the track. At the meet vs GA and TPS, she placed first in the hurdles with a time of 17.8, a new personal record. She also placed first in the long jump vs. EA with a jump of 13’11. Keep giving it your all, Gabby!

Tobey Schwartz ‘27 - Lacrosse - Tobey stepped up to the plate to play goalie for Monday's MS JV game against Ancillae. Not only did Tobey help lead the JV squad to victory in his first time in goal, but he notched a shutout for the Blue Devils, the first and only this season for the team. Ancillae fielded some very good players for the game and they tested Tobey, but he showed them what he was made of, stopping every one of their shots.

Addie Hayne ‘26 - Lacrosse - Addie had an outstanding week providing leadership, hustle, and positivity while also filling the stat sheet. In our 2 games, Addie scored 5 goals and added 3 assists and when we struggled with draw control in our last game she stepped in to secure 2 critical draws in the 2nd half.  Good job Addie!

Lilianna Zappile ‘27 - Softball - Lilianna is nominated for her pitching in last week's very close win over EA. Lily is brand new to pitching and didn’t hesitate when we asked her to take the mound. She did an amazing job getting the ball over the plate and keeping EA from scoring with runners still on base in almost every inning. Awesome job!

Aiden Katz ‘27 - Baseball - In the two wins last week, Aiden went 2-4 with 2 walks, 5 runs scored, and 5 stolen bases. Aiden has led the charge all season long for MS JV, primarily from the leadoff spot. Through 7 games, he is batting .571 with 12 runs scored, 10 walks, and an amazing .833 on base percentage. Way to go "Dutch!"
