The following students have been named Athletes of the Week ending 4/29:
Kamaha’o Bode '24 - Softball - Kama led the Blue Devils to a 6-1 victory over Penn Charter last week. She went 3 for 3 at the plate including a double, scored 2 runs, and had a stolen base. Kama also made several key defensive plays at first to keep Penn Charter off the bases. Keep up the great work, Kama!
The Boys 4x400m Relay - Track & Field - Sophomores Tony Hicks, Julian McFadden, Willie Lamb, and Stefon Dodoo ran a 3:24.06 breaking the School record of 3:26.6 at Penn Relays last week. The team was second in the Inter-Ac race to EA and qualified for the Philadelphia Championship where they finished 9 out of 12 teams. Way to go, boys!
Ryan White '23 - Baseball - Ryan has been solid for the Blue Devils this season with a .313 batting average. He is a great athlete who can play just about any position on the field, but has done a stellar job at 1st, 3rd, and in the outfield. Ryan also leads the team with 5 runs scored and we are so proud of his leadership and excellent sportsmanship.
Mike Lee '25 - Tennis - Mike never misses practice, is a great teammate, and his tennis game is the best it has ever been due to his hard work and dedication to the JV squad. We look forward to seeing Mike finish the season strong and watching his continued improvement.
Moe Sobel '27 - Lacrosse - Moe had 16 saves in JV’s 7-9 loss to Malvern and 8 saves in the 10-1 win over PC last week. As an 8th grader who plays on the US squad, he has had incredible poise, seeing minutes in goal for the varsity games as well as JV. Moe’s future on the US team is very bright!
Finley Paul '28 - Softball - Finley is a newcomer on the MS varsity team and has made great strides since starting with the team this season. Last week in our game against Baldwin, she played third base and had some clutch plays to hold runners from scoring. Finley pitched the last 3 innings of that game, walking only 2 batters, and giving up only 2 runs. Finally, she had some solid hits and RBIs which were key in helping the team to a 19-6 victory! Way to give it your all Finley, keep it up!
