Athletes of the Week Ending 2/4

The following students have been named Athletes of the Week ending 2/4:

Anna Mazzarelli '23 - Squash - Anna has put in the work this season and it shows in the many five-game battles she has had against tough competitors. She is a co-captain and the biggest motivator on the team, always making sure her teammates are mentally focused and pumped up for every match! Anna gives 100% every day and is an excellent example of what it means to be a team player. Way to go, Anna!

Julian McFadden '25 - Basketball - Julian has been a tremendous leader for the JV group throughout the year. He leads the team in assists at five per game and steals at two per game, and he is averaging 13 points. He tallied 15 points vs a tough PC team recently and always puts forth his best effort in practices and games.

Scarlett Spector '26 - Basketball - Scarlett has been a solid team player for the JV squad this year. She is appreciated for her physical play, toughness, and strong defense. Scarlett has improved throughout the season and has contributed on the offensive side of the ball as well, most notably scoring in transition on fast breaks. Great work, Scarlett!

AJ Trunfio '26 - Basketball -  Throughout the season, AJ has continued to make his presence felt on both ends of the floor for the boys’ freshman team. Last week he led the team to two victories, totaling 22 points and a team-leading 11 steals. He is a hard worker and we look forward to his continued success.

Finley Paul '28 - Basketball - Finley is known to her teammates as the "Voice of the Blue Devils" and the most positive force on the team! When Germantown Friends School made a late run to close the score in the fourth quarter recently, Finley's layup broke a Blue Devils scoring drought and helped push an SCH run to an 11-point lead and a victory! Way to go, Finley!

Nolan Delaney '27 - Wrestling - Nolan is a very hard worker and has improved his wrestling skills in a big way this season. He topped it off with a 2nd place finish at the MS Inter-Ac Tournament this week and we are so proud of him! Nolan has consistently performed throughout the year, and his positive attitude permeates our entire team. Excellent work, Nolan!
