Athletes of the Week Ending 1/27

The following students have been named Athletes of the Week ending 1/27:

Allie Stoddard '24 - Squash - Allie, a senior captain and the Devils’ No. 1 player, had two impressive victories recently over very tough opponents from Conestoga and Agnes Irwin. Allie’s intensity and work ethic is unmatched, and she shows incredible poise and resilience, never giving up! We will miss her next year but wish her the best as she will move on to play for Penn! 

Kyle Knox '25 - Wrestling - Kyle avenged a loss earlier in the season against a strong Haverford School opponent at the PAISAA Duals last Saturday, and also earned a first-period pin of the Mercersburg heavyweight that day! He has continued to hone his skills this season, and we look forward to his future success! 

Sam Bevan '27 - Ice Hockey - Sam, a second-year starter for the Blue Devils, has scored in almost every game this season. He always poses a consistent offensive threat and somehow manages to get great shots off through some stiff competition. Great work, Sam!

Roman Lawson '29 - Wrestling - Roman had a great week, with 3 wins vs tough opponents on the MS Wrestling team. Roman has been working very hard in practice and has started to dominate some of his opponents. Well done, Roman! 

Devon Donato '28 - Basketball - Devon has been a dominant force on the MSG varsity squad this season. On defense, she blocks shots, grabs rebounds, and is like a brick wall when anyone dares to enter the key! Offensively, she assists from the high post or she’ll drive, scoring points and often drawing a foul at the same time. Devon is also a great teammate, always smiling and bringing a positive attitude to the game.

Nasir Howard '28 - Basketball - Nasir had 24 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 steals in a 57-41 victory over Penn Charter last Thursday! Nasir continues to be one of the best players on the varsity squad, game in and game out. Great work, Nasir! 

Eivissa Markowitz '28 - Squash - Eivissa had the lone win for the MSG JV team versus a very strong Agnes Irwin squad last week. She battled for every point, and never gave up! We are so proud of you, Eivissa!
