Athletes of the Week Ending 1/25

The following students have been named Athletes of the Week ending 1/25:

Nolan Delaney ‘27 - Wrestling - Nolan bumped up from his normal 215lb weight class to heavyweight where he gave up nearly 70 pounds to his EA opponent. Nolan did not let the size difference stop him from wrestling tough, pinning the much larger wrestler in the first period. He kept it going the next day and followed that up with another heavyweight win against ANC! Nolan's leadership, consistency, and grit have led to continued success this year as he has a current record of 21-8 as a second-year starter. Great work, Nolan!

Brody Saccomandi ‘26 - Ice Hockey - Brody had 2 goals and an assist vs GA, getting the team on the board early with a shorthanded goal, and then had an amazing diving highlight-reel score to put us up 3-1. Additionally, he had a breakaway goal and tallied another assist vs EA. Brody is a great team leader and never hesitates to help the younger players. He plays hard during every shift and we are so glad he has another year to play for the Devils!

Xavier Jones ‘25 - Indoor Track - Xavier consistently leads by example. He comes to practice, listens to his coaches, works hard, spends time talking to younger teammates, and competes at a high level. This past weekend Xavier placed 7th in the 60m dash at UPenn's Track Festival (7.21). He currently has two qualifying times for the association's Meet of Champions (60m, 200m), and he recently committed to running Track for West Chester University. Congratulations Xavier!

Connor Crittenden ‘28 - Basketball - Connor has stepped up big time for the JV team in recent games including a dominant performance against Peddie where he posted 16 points and 15 rebounds. This Freshman big man has a bright future ahead of him- keep up the good work, Connor!

Frank Bradfield '31 - Wrestling - Frank won his match against Haverford by a major decision 12-3 and followed that up with an overtime win against Penn Charter 6-3. In his first year of wrestling, Frank has done a terrific job of listening to his coaches, working hard, supporting his teammates, and competing with sportsmanship. Great job Frank!

Maeve McManus ‘31 - Squash - Maeve lost her first game vs AIS but showed amazing grit and determination to win the next 3 games and secure her victory for the MSG varsity team. Her second game was almost as long as two games; she was down at game point multiple times and kept fighting to come back and win! It was very impressive how Maeve never gave up, even when it looked like a tough road ahead! Way to go Maeve!
