Athletes of the Week Ending 12/10

The following students have been named Athletes of the Week ending December 10:

Andrew Mahony '24 - Wrestling - Andrew was 5-0 on the week with 4 pins and a first-place finish at the SCH invitational on Saturday, and he was named the outstanding wrestler out of over 200 competitors. Very impressive! Way to go, Andrew!  

Jasmine Matthews '23 - Indoor Track - Jasmine is now PA ranked #6 in the 60m hurdles after running a PR of 9.87 last Friday night at the DVGTCA meet at Alvernia. This was the first time she has run the event since her freshman year! Awesome work, Jasmine!

Andrew Wood '23 - Indoor Track - Andrew won the long jump at the Coaches Meet at Lehigh last Saturday with a leap of 20’10”, qualifying him for the Meet of Champions in February. After one week of indoor track, Andrew is ranked eighth in the state for the long jump! So exciting, Andrew!

Owen Kelly '26 - Basketball - Owen has been a tremendous scorer and facilitator for the Blue Devils so far this season. During the last week, he averaged 22 points and 4 assists for JV helping them to a 2-0 record. Owen has a very bright future ahead of him and we look forward to his success!

Sean Simonds '27 - Ice Hockey - Sean is an 8th grader who stepped up big time in the game against ANC last Friday. ANC brought a lot of speed and size down the ice, and Sean played some great defensive hockey for three periods. He is a great addition to the US varsity squad.

Taylor Williams '28 - Basketball - Taylor proved to be a strong force in the MSG Varsity home opener against Agnes Irwin last week. She scored 16 points and was a dominant player on the boards, helping the team secure the win. Great job, Taylor!
