The following students have been named Athletes of the Week ending 1/20:
Kate Jaconetti '24 - Basketball - The senior guard reprises her role as a consistent spot-up shooter and perimeter facilitator. Kate's ability to remain calm and focused allows her to knock down big shots in high-pressure situations. In a breakout performance vs AIS, Kate scored 8 points, with 40 percent accuracy from deep.
Joe Flach ‘26 - Basketball - Joe has been a critical contributor for the JV Devils all season, starting every game for the 16-1 squad and serving as one of the team's top scorers. Over the past three games, Flach led the JV team in scoring 13.6 ppg and even contributed a five-point performance for the varsity team. This sophomore guard has an extremely bright future ahead of him!
Kendall Schnee '27 - Basketball - A confident JV co-captain and scorer, Kendall has quickly grown into her leadership role. When not draining a three-pointer, she often serves up assists to her teammates in JV and Varsity games or cheers them on in full voice!
Manny Silva ‘27 - Basketball - Manny led the 3rd team to a big 66-37 win over EA last week, scoring 15 points and tallying 5 rebounds and 4 assists. He has a great attitude and tremendous work ethic, and we look forward to seeing his progress during the remainder of the season.
Karina Egen ‘30 - Squash - Karina recorded the lone win in last week’s loss to Baldwin’s strong JV team. Karina never gave up during the entire match, solidifying a victory for the Devils. She consistently gives 100 percent in practices and matches, and improves every day! Great job, Karina!
Max Thompson ‘29 - Basketball - Max led the JV-B Blue Devils to a 34-17 win last Thursday over Germantown Academy, scoring in double digits. He hustles all over the court and displays excellent ball-handling skills, evading the defenders to take a great shot. Keep up the excellent work, Max!
