The following students have been named Athletes of the Week, ending 11/4:
Michael Glennon '25 - Soccer - Michael Glennon showed varied talents throughout the year, yet they were on full display in our run in the PAISAA state tournament. His skill, strength, and clever play led to two assists against EA, on the game-tying and game-winning goals, respectively. Additionally, his pressure on a defender during a corner kick coerced an own goal that allowed the Hillers to get back into the game. Michael's versatility has led him to have six goals and six assists on the season, the team leader in both categories. As a junior, we're excited to have him back next year and can't wait to see his development in the off-season
Bethany Haughton '25 - Volleyball - During our 2nd round of PAISAA against a powerful attacking opponent, Bethany stepped up, leading the team in blocks, slowing down our opponent’s attack. In addition to her blocking, Bethany added a number of timely kills to keep the team in contention that day. Keep working hard, Bethany!
Alex Zeka '25 - Football - Alex, a junior kicker for the Devils, was 3-3 on PATs and kicked a 26-yard field goal to help lead the Blue Devils to a 24-21 victory at Episcopal last Friday night. Zeka pulled double duty that day, as he is also on the varsity soccer team and played in their win against EA at SCH earlier that afternoon! Way to go, Alex!
Kerry O’Donnell '24 - Field Hockey - Kerry, a Penn State signee, had the Devils’ lone goal against a talented EA team in the first round of the PAISAA tourney. She is amazing in the midfield, and leads the team with poise and intensity! We will miss her next year but wish her the best at PSU!
Chase Meyer '26 - Soccer - Chase was new to the JV squad this year, and has really progressed as a left midfielder. He hustles and has a great attitude every day, and we look forward to his future success with the Hillers!
Chris Thelemaque '28 - Football - Chris is an offensive lineman and defensive end for the middle school varsity team, and has had a great season with the Devils. Last week he had 2 sacks, 5 tackles for loss, and 2 blocked passes vs EA. He is an amazing teammate and a truly selfless player, and consistently gives 100 percent in everything he does. Excellent season, Chris!
