Athletes of the Week Ending 10/7

The following students have been named Athletes of the Week, ending 10/7:

Zahkiyyah Frazier '24 - Volleyball - Zahkiyyah combined for 7 kills and 8 blocks in the matches vs George and Baldwin last week, and her presence at the net changed the pace of both games. Her great performance directly influenced the opponent’s game plan and forced them to make changes mid-game. These kinds of drastic changes aren't typical in a volleyball match, and were caused directly by Zahkiyyah's confidence, skill, and stats! Awesome work, Z!

Josh Miller '25 - Golf -  Josh shot a career-best score of 38 to lead the varsity team at Merion West, hosted by Episcopal Academy last Wednesday. He continues to work on his skills every day and improves in each match that we play. Keep it up, Josh!

Claire Lynch '27 - Cross Country - Claire raced to her career personal record at the Souderton Twilight Invitational last Saturday evening, beating her previous PR by 2 minutes and 7 seconds, and she placed 25th out of 97 racers! Way to go, Claire!

Peter Shea '24 - Soccer - Peter has been a guide for many of the younger players on the team as a senior leader. The joy he has for the game is palpable and infectious. When he channels this positivity into his game, he is one of the most dangerous players in the league running down the wing. Peter's ability to serve a wicked ball into the box was on display in our InterAc home opener against GA last week, which was the game-winning assist in that game. Keep climbing, sir... Well done, Peter!

Josh Simmons '27 - Football - Josh scored two touchdowns in JV’s 12-0 win vs Lawrenceville last Monday. He has been working very hard since the summer workouts and has earned this success. We look forward to his continued improvement!

Kelly Whittock '28 - Field Hockey - Kelly elevates the play of those around her, and it showed in last week’s MS games. She plays with poise, grace, and a WE CAN DO IT attitude. Kelly is never one to back down, and she tirelessly pushes on until the game is over. She even scored two goals against Notre Dame on Wednesday! Great job, Kelly!

Oliver Rabe '30 - Football - Oliver had 6 tackles and an interception for a touchdown in last week’s MS JV 21-0 victory over Episcopal. He is a hard worker and consistently gives his best effort every day. Congrats, Oliver!
