The following students have been named Athletes of the Week, ending 10/21:
Leah Laudenbach '25 - Tennis - Leah exemplifies good sportsmanship, a competitive attitude, and is constantly striving to be the best version of herself. We appreciate her hard work on the varsity team and we know she always gives her all at practice in matches! Good job, Leah!
Ava Lanzetta '25 - Volleyball - Ava led the varsity team in all 7 of the statistical categories over our 2 matches last week. She was instrumental in the team’s win over AIS, and her presence on court was impressive that day. We faced a tough Germantown Academy team on the Devils’ Senior Day, and Ava powered the team through a difficult loss. Keep up the intensity in today’s PAISAA playoff game vs ANC, Ava!
Brandon Varga '27 - Golf - Brandon had the low score of the day with a 40 for the JV team at Sunnybrook vs Malvern Prep. Brandon has worked hard on his game all season and we look forward to his success in the future!
Alexa Edwards '26 - Tennis - Alexa is a hard-hitting baseliner with great instincts and powerful net play. She, along with her JV doubles partner Scarlett Spector, dominated in our match vs Notre Dame. Alexa is a great example of a team player; always at practice ready to play and give 100%. Great job Alexa!
Hazel Walter '30 - Cross Country - Hazel has put in a ton of effort this season and made amazing progress as a runner. From the start of the season to her Championship Race at Belmont, she was able to take over 3 and a half minutes off of her 3k time. Hazel is consistent and motivated at every workout. She was a great addition to the team this year and we can't wait to see her run again next year!
Sophia Sultanik '30 - Tennis - Sophia has been the ultimate teammate throughout the Fall season. She comes to each practice and match with a positive attitude and works as hard as possible to help the team. Sophia has shown great courage in her 1st season playing tennis and continues improving her tennis skills. She plays anywhere in the lineup that she is needed and does it with a smile on her face! Keep up the great work!
