The following students have been named Athletes of the Week ending October 15:
Jack Gaghan '23 - Cross Country - Jack started the season as the number seven runner on the team. Over the past month, Jack worked his way up the ladder to become SCH's number two runner. Jack is a senior captain and we admire his drive and determination. Good luck with the rest of your senior year, Jack!
Jamie Ehnow '23 - Volleyball - Jamie was instrumental in securing our victory over Shipley during their Super Senior Saturday match last week. Jamie took charge with aggressive serves into whatever zone we called. She kept the intensity up throughout the match and scored kills and digs from everywhere on the court time and time again. Jamie’s performance during this match was a key factor in SCH bringing home the win, 3-0.
Declan Lemole '24 - Golf - Declan has consistently led the JV team this season, always providing one of the best scores of the match. His calm demeanor on the course is an example for others to follow. Great job, Declan!
Leah Thomas '26 - Tennis - Leah is the #1 singles player on the varsity team and has had a great season against very tough opponents! On Saturday, Leah competed in the Inter-Ac Singles tournament held at GA and made it to finals, finishing as the runner-up. Congratulations, Leah!
Colin McFadden '27 - Football - Colin is new to SCH this year and immediately emerged as a leader, teammate, and talented RB/LB. He had nine tackles and a 47-yard touchdown catch in last Thursday’s MS varsity league battle against Haverford. Way to go, Colin!
Birdie McNichols '28 - Field Hockey - Birdie’s play against Agnes Irwin was outstanding. She rose to the challenge of defending strong shooters and worked tirelessly to stop them from getting the shot off. She is a fierce competitor and once she gets control of the ball, she works her way down the field into the offensive circle. Great work, Birdie!
Will Howard '28 - Football - Will is becoming an absolute beast on both sides of the ball for the MS JV team! He had two touchdowns and 102 yards rushing in the Blue Devils’ 20-6 win over EA, and we are so excited to see him progress and have an incredible future on the football field here at SCH! Outstanding, Will!
Anya Chennupati '29 - Soccer - Anya has good soccer knowledge and understands the importance of position play. She knows when to push up on offensive challenges and puts good shots on goal. Anya is the high scorer for the MS JV team this season and we are so proud of her hard work!
