Athletes of the Week Ending 10/14

The following students have been named Athletes of the Week, ending 10/14:

Gracyn Lee-Torchiana '25 - Soccer - Gracyn had 6 big saves vs an undefeated and nationally ranked Conestoga team to help the team secure a 2-1 win on Tuesday. She has really taken charge in the goal this year and her leadership and confidence have been excellent. Additionally, Gracyn had a solid game in the team's 3-1 win over Baldwin last week. Great work!

Finn Whittle '25 - Football - Finn had 26 carries for 218 yards and 4 touchdowns in addition to playing every snap on defense in the Devils’ 33-15 win over PC last Saturday! This was the team’s first win vs PC since 2014 and we are looking forward to the match-up with GA this Saturday at home! Awesome job, Finn!

Ethan Eckert '25 - Golf - Ethan shot a 38 at the Germantown Academy Invitational at Bluestone Country Club and finished tied for 6th last week. This was the highest varsity finish an SCH player has had in the past several years. Keep working hard, Ethan!

Quinn Clotman '27 - Tennis - Quinn had an outstanding week with victories over PC and GA with her partner Leela Gilbert-Gokhale. Both matches went to a tiebreaker set to decide the match! Quinn’s calm demeanor, exemplary sportsmanship, and positive attitude don’t go unnoticed by her coaches. Quinn leads the JV team in total match-win percentage! Proud of you, Quinn!

Izzie Ford '26 - Field Hockey - Izzie scored against Baldwin in the JV game last week and has been working really hard to improve her skills during practice and games this year. We love her great attitude and spirit! Way to go, Izzie!

Bailey Walder '27 - Soccer - Bailey gives 110% each time she steps on the field for the JV squad. She is enthusiastic about soccer and always eager to improve her skills. Bailey is a wonderful and dedicated teammate who is constantly picking up her players when they’re down. We appreciate you, Bailey!

Zoe Coombs '30 - Tennis - Zoe is a 6th grader playing at one of the top singles spots on MS varsity and has carried a lot of weight on her shoulders this season. Last week she went 2 for 2 with back-to-back wins against 2 tough opponents! She has battled all season and it was so great to see her get 2 big ones in a row. Way to go, Zoe!
