Athletes of the Week: 2/13

Three students are recognized as athletes of the week for the week ending February 13, 2021.

Celia Mazzarelli '21 - squash - playing from her #5 position, she defeated a strong Agnes Irwin opponent 3-0, winning 11-9, 11-7, and 11-9. Celia is now 2-0 on the season with an opening win over Penn Charter. She has been a leader for the Blue Devils all season.

Sam Pagon '21 - squash - playing from his #3 position, won a tight 3-2 match over his Malvern opponent to help the team to a win. Sam went up 2-0 with 11-9 and 11-9 wins, then lost the next two games 8-11 and 10-12, but showed true resiliency as he came back in the 5th, winning 11-7 to take the match.

Tyler Guzik '21 - wrestling - won all 3 of his matches by fall at the first competition of the season. With the 3-0 day, he joins an elite list of Blue Devil wrestlers who completed their career with 100 wins. Tyler now has 101 wins.
