Athletes of the Week 1/22/22

The following athletes are recognized as Athletes of the Week for the week ending 1/22:

Hunter Rexford ‘23 - Ice Hockey - Hunter scored 2 of the 3 Blue Devil goals in the game against ANC last Wednesday. He played almost the entire game, which is an exhausting feat for an ice hockey game! He played both forward and defense against EA on Friday, again for a high number of minutes, and his motor was going the entire game. Hunter is a leader in practice and in games and we look forward to his continued dedication and success.

Sean Brett ‘25 - Wrestling - Sean tallied 3 wins and 1 loss at the Spartan Clash Duals last Saturday at Springfield. Sean especially showed his mental and physical toughness during two of his very hard-fought victories that day. He is hard-working, dedicated, and also a great teammate. Way to go Sean! 

Lucy Pearson ‘22 - Squash - Lucy played an amazing five-game match against a very formidable opponent from Agnes Irwin last Tuesday. Her grit and tenacity are exactly what we look for in a Squash player going up against a highly rated player! Lucy never gives up and is an excellent captain and role model for the younger players. 

Grayson Scott ‘25 - Basketball - Blue Devils freshman big man Grayson Scott had a week to remember, totaling 34 points, 27 rebounds, 11 assists and 4 blocks in the 3rds team’s games vs EA and Malvern last Tuesday and Friday! His consistent play and excellent court presence always make him a threat on both offense and defense. Keep up the great work, Grayson!

Owen Kelly ‘26 - MS Basketball - Owen had 31 points and 7 rebounds in a big 61-30 win over Malvern Prep last Tuesday. Owen is a new student at SCH this year, and he has not only fit in nicely with the boys, but he has become a leader on the basketball team. Way to go, Owen!

Eloise Levin ‘26 - MS Squash - Eloise embodies the fearless, can-do attitude we love to have on the squash team! Last week, the upper school team was down a player at the last minute vs AIS, and Eloise dropped everything and played with the older girls so they could avoid a forfeited match that day. Awesome job, Eloise!
