Athletes of the Week 12/11

The following athletes are recognized as Athletes of the Week for the week ending 12/11:

Maya McDermott '22 - Basketball - Maya averaged 5 points and 7 steals in the last two games and is one of the best defenders on the team. Her speed and quick hands make her a huge threat to the other team's offense. As a senior, Maya has also taken on a leadership role this year and has quickly become a mentor to the younger players. 

Henry Brandstadter '22 - Indoor Track - Henry won the high jump at the Coaches' meet held at Lehigh last Saturday. He leaped 6'4", which qualified him for the PA Meet of Champs, States, and Nationals. Henry's career-best is 6'7", which he is hoping to beat this year! Go, Henry!

Seamus Hendrie '25 - Wrestling - Seamus was the champion of his weight class in last Saturday's SCH Wrestling Invitational, winning both of his matches and pinning each of his opponents to secure the wins! Keep up the excellent work, Seamus! 

Simone Kelly '23 - Indoor Track - Simone finished first overall in the 400m at the kickoff DVGTCA girls' indoor track meet held at Alvernia last weekend with a time of 1:00.87! We are looking forward to seeing Simone progress and succeed throughout the season this year, great job Simone!
