Athletes of the Week 10/16

Athletes of the Week 10/16

The following athletes are recognized as Athletes of the Week for the week ending 10/16:

Jamie Ehnow ‘23 - Varsity Volleyball - Jamie was stellar in all facets of the games last week.  Offensively, Jamie scored more than 40% of the team’s total points for the week by attacking in the front court, from the back court and the service line. She was also responsible for carrying 20% of the total defensive load while only being in the back court for 50% of the time. On serve/receive, Jamie accounted for 35% of the service receptions in all our matches. Way to go, Jamie!!!

Jacob Becker ‘23 - Cross Country - Jacob Becker has become the boys’ team number two runner over the last several weeks. Hard workouts have taken his times for 5k from 21 minutes down to 18.32. We are proud of his dedication to running!

Virginia Perry ‘22 - Varsity Soccer - Virginia scored 2 critical goals in a 3-0 win over an undefeated Notre Dame team. She also added a goal and assist later in the week over Agnes Irwin. Virginia has scored some big goals this year at critical times in the games and her work ethic and confidence has increased in each game she plays.

Connor Brown ‘25 - JV Soccer - At goalkeeper, Connor has played exceptionally well and consistently. He is always engaged, there to support his teammates, and up for the big save. Connor's play against EA late last week kept the team in it until the very end... quite literally: EA was lucky to get the winner with about 40 seconds left in the game. Regardless, Connor has been a stalwart in the JV's backline- well done!

Addie Hayne ‘26 - MS Field Hockey - The ultimate team player, Addie transitioned to a more defensive role and kept the opposing team from marching down the field during previous games. She was fearless, challenging for the ball, stepping up to gain possession and moving SCH into scoring positions. Awesome job, Addie!

Will Pownall ‘26 - MS Football - Will was 8 for 11 at quarterback for the Blue Devils with a touchdown and 2 point conversion for 122 yards in last week’s varsity game at Haverford. Will has worked hard at being a good leader and is a fantastic person! Great work, Will!
