Admissions FAQ's

How long does it take to apply?

Applying to SCH is quick and easy! Click here to begin your SCH application. After creating your credentials (username & password) in the mySCH portal, it only takes about 10-15 minutes to complete. Once your application has been submitted, someone from the Admissions Team will be in touch to complete the next steps with interviews, on campus tour, and necessary steps (specific for each division) needed to enroll.

What fees are associated with applying?

There is a one-time $50 application fee that is saved for whenever you decide to complete your application.

Our independent school application process entails several required fees*.

For applicants of grades 2-4, the WISC-V assessment which can be privately administered, costs approximately $300 to $1,000.
For applicants of grades 5-12, the SSAT or ISEE exam ranges from approximately from $150 to $250.
Lastly, families applying for financial aid must submit a Clarity financial aid application, which is a $60 one-time fee.

*NOTE: most of these assessment fees can be used for your application to all ADVIS, area private, independent schools.

How will I know my application is complete?

At any point, you can check the status of your application on our mySCH admissions portal. Once all necessary files and forms have been submitted, you will be notified that your file is complete and ready to be reviewed by the admissions committee.

The SCH Admissions committee begins to meet in early winter and decisions are made on a rolling basis starting in early December or January. Depending on your division of interest (Lower, Middle, or Upper School), decisions should be made by February or March for the school year starting in the fall.
