The SCHuttle

~ Center City Mom, pilot program

“Thank you so much for making ShuttleBee a possibility for the later half of this year. It was life-changing for our family and we greatly appreciate it! We just couldn't be happier!”
We are excited to announce the SCHuttle, a brand-new, customized transportation service for our Center City families. This service is available to students of all ages in all divisions.
SCH has partnered with ShuttleBee –– a premiere service offering safe, hassle-free, family-friendly, door-to-door transportation supported by state-of-the-art technology.

The SCHuttle offers the following distinctive features:
  • Safety: Drivers undergo extensive background tests and are road-tested with kids. ShuttleBee will ensure that your child is always safe by using a booster seat or a seat belt, depending on your child’s age and weight.
  • Communication: A ShuttleBee concierge is always on call.
  • Flexible afternoon departures:  Choose a 3:30 PM or 5:30 PM departure (as available) for each season, to accommodate your child's after-school activities and sports.

* At this time we are able to offer our SCHuttle service to families in the following zip codes: 19107,19106, 19103,19146,19147,19130.

SCHuttle Terms

Routes: TBA

Transportation will be made available based on sufficient enrollment.
  • Parents who wish to utilize our SCHuttle service need to submit their contract as soon as possible, in order to be assigned to a route.
  • Parents will be notified about estimated pickup and drop-off locations and times by July 31, 2019.
  • Routes will be customized by location within the zip codes indicated (see left).
  • Route expansions in subsequent years will be considered with adequate demand.
  • Late enrollments—after June 30—will be accepted only if space is available and the requested transportation stop is along the already published route.
  • If there is an occasional transportation need, and space allows, families must submit a contract form at least three days in advance of the requested date and agree to the daily rate of $40.
Afternoon Options:
  • The SCHuttle will offer two afternoon departure times—3:30 PM and 5:30 PM—based on adequate enrollment. Please register for one time per school season (fall, winter, spring). Availability of two afternoon options (3:30 and 5:30 PM) is not guaranteed but will be determined by the number of requests for each desired route time.
  • Changes to departure time during the school year may be made if space allows.
