Who We Are
Springside Chestnut Hill Academy is an independent school in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, for students in grades PK-12.
With a 62-acre campus as our backyard, we’ve always believed that the best kind of learning happens when you’re out in the world, not just behind a desk. At SCH, we have a long tradition of kindling your fire through a strong academic curriculum mixed with a real "maker" spirit. We give our students the space to be kids — exploring the Wissahickon and learning through discovery — while giving them the tools to become the innovators and leaders they want to be.
We’re big believers in the "power to do." Whether it’s launching a startup through our CEL program or finding their footing on a 9th-grade trek, our students learn to take risks and solve real problems. We aren't just getting kids ready for college; we’re giving them the confidence to go out and build their own future.

Pre-K to 12th-grade applicants, please note: Applications received by December 1 will receive an admission decision by January 15 and will have until February 15 to enroll at SCH. After that point, applications are received, and decisions are shared on a rolling basis.
