Admissions Timeline

We are delighted that you are considering Springside Chestnut Hill Academy as part of your school search. We welcome applications at any time during the year on a rolling basis. If you are interested in applying now, please submit an application through our website. Once your application has been submitted you will be contacted by your divisional Admissions Director. Our first round applications typically take place between September and December.

Decisions & Notification

All applications that are complete by December 1, 2023, will receive notification on their admission decision in January. Starting in January 2023 the Admission Committee will review applications as they become complete, and decisions will be shared on a rolling basis.

Financial aid

Families who are interested in applying for Financial Aid are strongly encouraged to submit their financial aid applications at the same time they complete their admission applications. Financial aid for newly accepted families will be awarded in January during the first round of evaluations. The review process will continue until funds are exhausted, meaning that applications will be considered on a rolling basis. It is advisable to submit your admission and financial aid applications as early as possible to have the best opportunity for consideration.

How long does it take to apply?

Applying to SCH online is quick and easy! Click here to get started. After creating a login in the mySCH portal, it only takes about 10-15 minutes to complete. Once your application has been submitted, someone from the Admissions Team will be in touch to begin the interview, on campus tour, and necessary paperwork (specific for each division) needed to enroll.

What fees are associated with applying?

There is a one-time $50 application fee that is saved for whenever you decide to complete your application.

Our independent school application process entails several required fees*.

For applicants of 2nd-4th grade, the WISC-V assessment which can be privately administered, costs approximately $300 to $1,000.
For applicants of 5th-12th grade, the SSAT or ISEE exam ranges from approximately from $150 to $250.
Lastly, families applying for financial aid must submit a Clarity financial aid application, which cost $60.

*NOTE: most of these assessment fees can be used for your application to all ADVIS, area private, independent schools.

How will I know my application is complete?

At any point, you can check the status of your application in our admissions portal (in your mySCH login). Once all necessary files and forms have been submitted, you will be notified that your file is complete and ready to be reviewed by the admissions committee.

The SCH Admissions committee begins to meet in early winter and decisions are made on a rolling basis starting in early December or January. Depending on your division of interest (Lower, Middle, or Upper School), decisions should be made by February or March for the school year starting in the fall.
