Admissions Events at SCH Academy

We offer two ways for families to explore SCH’s Early Childhood Center (ECC) and discover our Reggio Emilia–inspired approach to early learning:

ECC FALL OPEN HOUSE | Event begins at 9 AM 

Discover what makes our Early Childhood Center (ECC) unique during our fall and spring open house events! Hear directly from Director Janet Giovinazzo about our mission, step inside active classrooms to see learning in action, and gain an overview of our vibrant community and Reggio Emilia approach. It's the perfect first step to explore our spaces and experience our program firsthand.

SMALL GROUP TOURS | A CLOSER LOOK 

If you are ready for a deeper, more personal visit, consider joining one of our small group Tuesday morning tours. Limited to just three families per session, these tours provide an individualized experience that allows you to see the Early Childhood Center (ECC) in action. You will have ample time to observe classrooms during the active school day and engage in personalized conversations with our ECC Admissions Director, Kate Caro. This intimate setting is designed to focus entirely on your child’s needs, your specific questions, and the details that matter most to your family.

Please note: To ensure an optimal environment for discussion, these tours are intended for adults only. While infants are welcome, we kindly ask that older children remain at home.

Lower School inside SCH | Event begins at 9 AM 

• Thursday, September 24 
• Tuesday, October 27 
• Thursday, November 19 
• Tuesday, December 8 

These Lower School Inside SCH events are designed to give you an introduction to our Lower School, signature programs, and community. During your visit, you will meet our division leadership and faculty, learn about our single-sex approach and curriculum, and see firsthand how our campus and facilities support hands-on, interdisciplinary learning. The event finishes with a "highlight reel tour," giving you the opportunity to visit several classrooms and explore key Lower School spaces.

SMALL GROUP TOURS | A CLOSER LOOK 

For a more personalized visit, you can join a small group tour, offered on select mornings. These tours are limited to just three families, allowing for an intimate conversation with Lower School Admissions Director Kate Caro as you tour the entire Lower School campus. During the visit, you will have the opportunity to observe classes in session to see learning in real time, as well as space to ask questions tailored specifically to your family's interests. If you are looking for an individualized approach and the chance to explore how SCH can meet your child’s unique needs, these small group tours are a great option.
